On September 4 this year, a round table entitled “CSTO–SCO: Security Space” was held as part of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. CSTO Secretariat representative Igor Panarin took part in the event.
On September 4, 2026, consultations on “Coordinating the positions of CSTO member states on the agenda of the UN General Assembly” were held in Moscow in accordance with the Plan of Consultations of Representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States on Foreign Policy, Security and Defense for 2025–2027.

Today, a briefing was held by Colonel General Andrey Nikolaevich Serdyukov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, on the topic “On the readiness of command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system forces and assets to conduct joint exercises.”

A delegation of the CSTO Secretariat will attend the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly
24.09.2018September 24-27, this year CSTO Secretariat delegation led by CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov will take part in the work of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York, as well as in the traditional working meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states on September 26 on the margins session of the UNGA.
The CSTO is an observer in the UN General Assembly. According to the estimates of the UN Secretariat, cooperation with the CSTO is successfully developing in the field of crisis response and preventive diplomacy, countering terrorism and drug trafficking, peacemaking, humanitarian assistance and emergency response.
