Allow me to thank the Russian presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the invitation to take part in the debate on the interaction between the United Nations and regional organizations - the CSTO, the CIS and the SCO.

I highly appreciate my participation in the meeting of the main body of the World Organization responsible for maintaining global peace and international security. I am convinced that today's debate will contribute to the development of new, additional mechanisms for United Nations cooperation with the CSTO, the CIS and the SCO - the leading regional organizations operating in the Eurasian security space.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Belarus Ermek Ibraimov told reporters that it inspired deep reflect how the Republic of Belarus kept the memory of the war.















“I constantly say that it inspires deep reflect how the Republic of Belarus keeps the memory of the war. It  goes a long way on me personally,” Ermek Ibraimov said.

On May 5, the ambassador took part in the ceremony of laying flowers in front of the monument to Hero of the Soviet Union Dzhumash Asanaliev, who had accomplished a feat in battle during the liberation of the Republic of Belarus in 1944. “Once, passing by, I stopped to look at the monument and was pleasantly surprised how local utilities and residents of the nearest houses look after it. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my profound gratitude to the Republic of Belarus for keeping this memory,” he noted. “The Kyrgyz Republic also keeps a memory of the Great Patriotic War, we honor our veterans and May 9 is a sacred holiday for us.”

The monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union Dzhumash Asanaliev was erected on July 1, 2005, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Belarus.

Dzhumash Asanaliev (May 10, 1923 - June 25, 1944) - machine gunner of the 199th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 67th Guards Rifle Division of the 6th Guards Army of the 1st Baltic Front. On June 25, 1944, upon the battle in the area of ​​the village of Labeyki, Vitebsk region, his squad members were killed by the enemy mortar fire. Left alone, Asanaliev continued to fight. When the enemies approached very close, not wanting to surrender, he pulled a machine gun to himself so that he would not get to the enemy, knelt down and embraced the last anti-tank grenade, blowing himself up and the Nazis surrounding him. He was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.

Information minister Alexander Karlyukevich reported today that the Republic of Belarus did a lot to memorialize the events of the war. “It’s no coincidence that we came to the monument to Asanaliev today. Our industrial enterprise, the Polygraph Plant named after Yakub Kolas, is located nearby. We always try to come to this monument on May 9, and whenever possible on other holidays and anniversaries,” Alexander Karlyukevich said. – The Republic of Belarus liberated representatives of different nations, and we honor their memory. In the Republic of Belarus, much is being done to memorialize the events of the Great Patriotic War and to honor the heroes of the Great Victory, and this is worthy of respect."

The Minister emphasized that laying flowers at the obelisks and monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War was an opportunity to pay tribute to these people. “This is an opportunity to show that inside, in your heart and soul, you have contact with your memory, that you remember not only these places and people, the monuments that you came to, but also your near and dear ones. Now many different projects are being implemented in media space: on television, in BelTA news agency, in the press. They are associated with the celebration of memory, including through communication with friends and relatives, grandfathers and great-grandfathers. It seems to me that this is important for people, "he added.
