26.06.2019BISHKEK, June 25 - RIA Novosti. On Tuesday the Deputy Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Alymbek Sultanov said that the threat of terrorist attacks in Central Asia has increased significantly.
"Recently, the threat of terrorist attacks in Central Asia has increased significantly," he said at the anti-terrorism forum of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in Bishkek.
According to Mr.Sultanov, the main threats to the security of the region come from the northern provinces of Afghanistan, where there is an intensification of terrorist gangs and militants returning from Syria to the countries of origin.
"For the successful fight against terrorism, it is necessary to consolidate the efforts of the competent authorities of all the CSTO countries, exchange experience and information between them," he said.
