The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov took part in the final stage of the joint tactical and special training “Rock-2024” with units of the bodies authorized in the field of prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations of the CSTO member states. The event took place at the basic training ground for the CSTO rescue units “Rock City-Astana”.

Issues related to the preparation of proposals for the deployment and use of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces in the Central Asian region of collective security are being worked out in the period from 3 to 4 September during a joint training session of the CSTO Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat in Moscow on the basis of the Crisis Response Centre.

The Chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Colonel-General Andrei Nikolaevich Serdyukov, has today given a briefing on the subject of “Preparedness of the CSTO Collective Security Treaty Organization's management bodies and formations of forces and means for the conduct of joint trainings”.

Representatives of the press services of the defense departments and mass media of the CSTO member states took part in the event via videoconferencing.

On November 15 this year, a meeting of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council Working Group on the logistical support of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) was held via videoconferencing.
Under the general supervision of the Chairman of the Working Group - Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, the meeting was attended by representatives of the leadership of defense agencies of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, officials from the CSTO Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat.
In the course of the meeting the following issues were considered: the status of internal approval of the draft Regulation on Stockpiles of Material Resources for Support of Formations of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) and its readiness for consideration by the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of the CSTO Secretaries of Security Councils; the status of development and readiness to submit for internal approval the draft Recommendations on the procedure for mutual settlement for transferred material resources between the contingents of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces), and the creation on the territories of the CSTO member states of the necessary reserves of material resources for the deployment of groups of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces).
The main areas of cooperation in the field of military science on improving the system of logistical support of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces), as well as the results of a special trainings with the forces and means of logistical support of the CSTO CRRF "Echelon-2022" held in October 2022 in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, were discussed.
The next meeting of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council Working Group on the issues of logistical support of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) is scheduled to take place in the Republic of Belarus in 2023.
