On June 23, 2026, a ceremonial event was held at the Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to mark the 20th anniversary of the CSTO Collective Security Council's decision granting the Institute the status of the Basic Educational Institution for Continuing Professional Education of law enforcement and special service personnel of the CSTO member states in the fields of counterterrorism, combating extremism, illicit drug trafficking, illegal migration, and other forms of transnational organized crime, as well as for the training of specialists for peacekeeping missions and teaching staff of educational institutions.

The XX meeting of the CSTO Consulting Coordination Center Council on Responding to Computer Incidents was held

On November 18, 2025, Moscow hosted the 20th meeting of the CSTO Consulting Coordination Center Council on Responding to Computer Incidents (CSTO CCC), which was attended by delegations of representatives of the national authorized bodies of the CSTO member states.
The meeting was opened by Valery Semerikov, the CSTO Deputy Secretary General, who delivered a welcoming speech to the participants.
During the meeting, participants from the delegations of the CSTO member states discussed current threats to information security and methods of countering them.
The speakers noted a massive increase in the number of attacks using supply chains and counterparties, as well as the intensive involvement of various interacting organizations and structures in carrying them out.
The meeting participants expressed particular concern about threats related to leaks of personal data of individuals and legal entities, as well as attacks through trusted external communication channels that contribute to computer incidents.
During the event, delegates exchanged views on current threats and issues related to the rapid dissemination of information about critical software vulnerabilities to the owners of vulnerable resources and how to respond to them.
They noted the active development of information exchange between specialists at the CSTO CCC contact points and a simultaneous increase in the number of joint events.
They expressed their gratitude to the representative of the Kyrgyz Republic for organizing and hosting the first CSTO International Conference on Cybersecurity in June this year.
