The 12th Southern Information Security Forum “Infoforum Sochi 2026” is taking place in Sochi, Russia, from June 30 to July 3. On July 1, the Forum's plenary session brought together representatives of federal and regional authorities, regulatory bodies, leading companies, and international organizations to discuss current challenges in the protection of critical infrastructure, the development of artificial intelligence, and international cooperation.
On June 30 – July 1, 2026, Saint Petersburg hosted a series of events chaired by Alexander Kurenkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, with the participation of heads of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states responsible for emergency prevention and response.

On May 17, in Minsk, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, on the invitation of Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, took part in the activities of the ХI International Exhibition of Armament and Military Equipment "MILEX-2023", organized by the State Military Industrial Committee, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, the Republican Unitary Enterprise "BelExpo" of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus.
"MILEX-2023" is a traditional forum of companies-developers and manufacturers of military products, which traditionally offers a wide range of military and dual-purpose products, as well as various programs for modernization of armament and military equipment. The main goals of the exhibition are wide presentation of products of the Belarusian defense industry, acquaintance with new developments in high technologies, demonstration of possibilities of the enterprises that are engaged in modernization and repair of armament and provide services to the armed forces. Thematic sections of the exhibition present the whole range of technologies aimed at ensuring defense and security of the state.
Anatoly Sidorov noted that the ХI International Exhibition of Armament and Military Equipment "MILEX-2023" contributed to the further development of successful military and military-technical cooperation between representatives of defense-industrial complexes of the CSTO member states. At present, work is continuing within the CSTO in the area of military and technical cooperation to establish and improve the Organization's regulatory framework and to implement practical measures of long-term programs and plans to equip the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) with modern weapons, military and special equipment and special means. The main efforts in this direction are focused on improving the equipment of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces and the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian region.
The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the defense ministry and the organizers of the forum for the opportunity to participate in the events, as well as for the high level of their implementation.
