The UN experts and the CSTO Secretariat held consultations on cooperation in the field of peacekeeping via videoconferencing

On March 25, this year, consultations of the CSTO Secretariat representatives with specialists of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations of the UN Secretariat were held at the expert level via videoconferencing.
In the course of the consultations, an exchange of views took place on the sequence of preparation steps and carrying out of certification procedure by the UN experts of training programs on peacekeeping topics of the Military Educational and Scientific Center of the Ground Forces "Combined Arms Order of Zhukov Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation", which is the basic educational and methodological organization for training personnel of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces.
The experts also discussed issues related to the aspects of registration of the CSTO consolidated peacekeeping formations in the UN Peacekeeping Potential Preparedness System.
One of the important results of the event was the confirmation of the preparedness for further cooperation on the issues of using the CSTO peacekeeping resources in the UN peacekeeping activities.
