On July 15, 2026, the High-Level Regional Meeting “Enhancing Capacities to Prevent the Supply of Weapons to Terrorists in Central Asia” was held in Moscow, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism with the participation of the Russian side.
On July 14, 2026, a working meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov and UN Assistant Secretary-General Alexander Zuev.
From July 7 to 9, second staff talks were held in the Russian Federation on the organization and conduct of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) command-and-staff exercise “Interaction-2026”, the special reconnaissance exercise “Poisk-2026”, and the logistics support exercise “Echelon-2026”.
In accordance with the 2026 Action Plan of the Coordinating Council of Heads of the Competent Authorities for Countering Illicit Drug Trafficking of the CSTO Member States, and as part of the Russian Federation's priorities during its 2026 CSTO Chairmanship, the sub-regional counter-narcotics operation “Kanal – Amber Coast” was conducted from June 29 to July 3, 2026. The operation was aimed at disrupting trafficking routes for narcotic drugs, their precursors and analogues, new psychoactive substances, and potent substances into the CSTO area of responsibility, neutralizing international transnational drug trafficking groups, dismantling clandestine drug production facilities, undermining the economic foundations of the drug trade, including the laundering of drug proceeds.
The “MILEX – 2021” Exhibition in Minsk will become a platform for the development of dialogue and business partnership in the field of military-economic and military-technical cooperation in the CSTO format
18.06.2021The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav ZAS will take part in the official opening ceremony and work of the X International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment "MILEX-2021".
The Exhibition will be held on June 23-26. 2021, in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, at the multipurpose cultural and sports complex "Minsk-Arena".
The event is organized by the State Military-Industrial Committee and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, the arranger is the Republican Unitary Enterprise "BelExpo" of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus.
The business program of the Exhibition "MILEX-2021" provides for a number of events in the CSTO format.
In particular, on June 24 a joint meeting of heads and members of national units of the CSTO ICWEC and the CSTO ICWEC Business Council with the participation of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation on military-economic (technical) cooperation in the CSTO format will be held.
A meeting of the Coordinating Council of authorized bodies of CSTO member States on advertising and exhibition activities will be held on June 25.
These events will provide for a comprehensive discussion of topical issues of development of military-economic and military-technical cooperation, the formation of cooperative ties of enterprises and organizations of military-industrial complexes of CSTO member States, improving cooperation in advertising and exhibition activities in the CSTO format.
