24.10.2019In the CSTO Secretariat, under the leadership of CSTO Deputy Secretary General Piotr Tsikhanouski, on October 24, this year, Consultations were held with authorized officials of interested ministries and departments of the CSTO member states on adopting draft documents submitted for consideration by the statutory bodies of the Organization at the end of November this year.
The participants of the consultations, taking into account the results of previous intrastate coordination in the CSTO member states, finalized and agreed on the draft Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council “On the Regulation on the organization and conduct of joint scientific-research and developmental works within the framework of the CSTO”.
This document defines the mechanism of interaction between the CSTO member states in organizing and conducting joint scientific-research and developmental works within the Organization in the field of development and modernization of military products.
The draft Decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council “On the typical bilateral intergovernmental agreement within the Organization on providing high-precision access to the GLONASS Russian global navigation satellite system” was also considered. Work on its preparation will continue.
Both documents are foreseen to be submitted for consideration by the CSTO Permanent Council for a decision on the procedure for their further processing.
