It should be recalled that on 28 April 2003, in Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for implementing the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted the Decision “On the Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.”

On 27 April 2026, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Contours of a New Architecture of Collective Security: Current Issues of Information and Analytical Partnership within the CSTO,” held at MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, a round table entitled “Eurasian Analytical Platform: New Approaches in a New Geopolitical Reality” took place. During the event, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat Yuriy Shuvalov delivered a presentation on “The Eurasian Analytical Network: A New Cognitive Architecture of Collective Security.”

During the “Echelon-2025” training, logistics units practice actions based on the experience of a special military operation

At the “Losvido” training ground, under the charge of the First Deputy Chief of the rear of the Armed Forces, Chief of Staff of the rear of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, Major General Alexander Mosolov, a special training with forces and means of logistics "Echelon-2025" is being conducted. The main objectives of the training are to improve the coherence of the work of management bodies and the practical skills of units and units of technical and logistical support during the preparation and conduct of a joint operation of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces.

The logistics support units have deployed in the field and are practicing their actions based on the experience gained by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during a special military operation.

Special attention is paid to conducting technical reconnaissance, organizing the evacuation and repair of damaged equipment under the threat of enemy UAVs. During the training, the issues of organizing production activities at the assembly point of damaged vehicles are being worked out.

In one of the districts, logistics units worked out the tasks of organizing food supplies in the interests of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces. To protect vehicles from drone attacks, a corridor equipped with a network, as well as air surveillance points, was organized on the way of transportation of material.

As part of the training, a mobile food storage department and a bakery department of a mobile mechanized bakery were deployed. It is used for baking bread according to the accelerated cooking recipe. The daily productivity of such a plant is 6 tons of bread. The quality of baked goods is subjected to laboratory tests in a mobile laboratory. Based on the results of the research, an assessment of the quality of baking is determined and a conclusion is issued with a permit to be issued to personnel.

Representatives of the leadership of the special “Echelon-2025” training and the logistics services of the defense departments of the CSTO member states were shown the technical means of the food service and various food rations produced in the Republic of Belarus.

A joint training with the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO "Interaction-2025" is being conducted on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, aimed at working out the issues of preparing and conducting a joint operation to participate in resolving a crisis situation on the territory of a CSTO member state, a special training with forces and means of reconnaissance "Search-2025", a special exercise with forces and means logistics support “Echelon-2025”.

Contingents of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan are taking part in the trainings. Among them are military contingents, special forces formations from among the special units of the internal affairs bodies (police), security agencies and special services, authorized bodies in the field of emergency prevention and response, as well as operational groups of the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat. In total, more than 2,000 military personnel and 450 units of weapons, military and special equipment are involved, including 9 combat aircraft and helicopters, over 70 different types of UAVs.
