It should be recalled that on 28 April 2003, in Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for implementing the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted the Decision “On the Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.”

Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, briefed the group of officers on the tasks and most important functions assigned to the CSTO Joint Staff, as well as the main directions of improvement of the military component of the CSTO collective security system.
The Head of the CSTO Crisis Response Center, Major General Arsen Rakhmanov, informed representatives of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation about the organization of the CSTO Crisis Response Center duty shift and joint trainings with duty shifts of command posts of the CSTO member States in the regions of collective security, including with the involvement of representatives of ministries of emergency situations.
In the course of the event, they discussed current issues of interaction between the CSTO Crisis Response Center and the National Defense Control Center of Russia.
