Delegation of the CSTO Secretariat headed by the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization will take part in the 13th international meeting of high representatives in charge of security issues.
On May 13, 2025, the 41st meeting of the Working Group on Afghanistan under the CSTO Ministerial Council was held with the participation of CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev. The event was also attended by delegations of the Organization's member states and representatives of the UNOCT, the UNRCCA, the CIS ATC, the CIS Coordination Service of the CIS Council of Commanders of Border Troops and the ICRC.
Today, in Moscow's Red Square, parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 was attended by ceremonial regiments of the armed forces of the CSTO member states.
Officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of military contingents from the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan marched through the main square of the Russian Federation in single formation with the Russian by ceremonial regiments. The sequence of their march was determined by alphabetical order.
On April 25, 2025 in the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia took place a solemn graduation of representatives of the senior staff of law enforcement agencies and services of the CSTO member states: the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, who improved their qualification in the form of specialized training on the topic “Training of personnel and leading specialists for law enforcement agencies and services of the CSTO member states”.
28 April is the Day of Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. We recall that on 28 April 2003. in the city of Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for the implementation of the tasks of the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted a decision on the establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

In Cholpon-Ata, a retreat was held at the Coordination Meeting of the chairmen of the defense and security committees (commissions) of the parliaments of the CSTO member states under the PA CSTO Council.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Coordination Meeting, the Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Defense, Vladimir Shamanov.
The parliamentarians heard and discussed the report of the Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Piotr Tsikhanouski, “Military Cooperation of the CSTO Member States: Status and Prospects for Development” and information from the consultant of the Department of Political Cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Secretariat, Alexander Vinidiktov CSTO format.
The meeting heard a report by the Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Standing Committee on Defense and Security, Vice-Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Anatoly Vyborny on the results of the exit meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly on Defense and Security and parliamentary monitoring of military issues Political Situation in the East European Collective Security Region B (23–24 May 2018, Brest, Republic of Belarus).
The Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, Asylbek Kozhobekov, informed the meeting participants about the state of ensuring national security in the Kyrgyz Republic and countering new challenges and threats.
Member of the Majilis Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan for International Affairs, Defense and Security Abay Tasbulatov informed the participants about the progress in the implementation of the priorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the chairmanship of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
Chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Anatoly Sidorov reported on command and staff exercises with military contingents of the Collective Operational Response Forces of the CSTO "Cooperation-2018" (within the framework of the joint operational-strategic exercise "Combat Brotherhood-2018").
Members of the Coordination Meeting visited the testing center of JSC Ulan in Karakol, took part as observers at a command and staff exercise with military contingents of the Collective Operational Response Forces of the CSTO “Cooperation-2018” (as part of the joint operational-strategic exercise “Combat fraternity - 2018 ") in the center of combat training" Edelweiss "of Balykchy and met with the leadership of the exercises.
