The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov told RIA Novosti, commenting on the terrorist attack in “Crocus City Hall” that terrorism was used in hybrid warfare, provoked inter-ethnic and inter-religious discord, so the CSTO member states needed tools to counter this phenomenon.
In the period from 12 to 13 March 2024, in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a strategic command and staff training is being conducted under the supervision of Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the Joint Staff, during which issues related to stabilizing the situation in the Central Asian region of collective security in the context of the growing threat of a crisis situation are being worked out.

On 11 March 2024, the CSTO Secretariat hosted a round table on "Cooperation in the Information and Analytical Sphere to Ensure Collective Security" on the occasion of the Tajik Press Day. The event was attended by the Head of the Department for the Study of Regional Security Problems of the Strategic Research Centre under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sayhamid Sharifzoda, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CSTO, Khasan Sultonov, and representatives of the Tajik media.

20.06.2017Heads of diplomatic missions, Permanent Representatives of the CSTO member states, senior staff of the OSCE Secretariat, representative offices of international organizations (UN, IAEA, etc.) at the OSCE attended the reception held on this occasion.
They were shown a documentary and slides on the anniversary of the CSTO.
The reception was held in Vienna to attend the Forum for Security Cooperation (held under the four-month Russian chairmanship at the FSC) Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO Valery Semerikov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus OSCE Roman Romanovsky. They told about the history of the creation of the CSTO, the stages of the formation of the Organization, its potential in combating traditional and new threats and challenges, the priorities of the Belarusian presidency of the CSTO, etc.
The primary importance of the CSTO in ensuring security and stability in the region of the Organization’s responsibility was noted. The attention was focused on the need for close cooperation of the Organization with the OSCE and other international organizations in all areas of activity related to ensuring security in the Eurasian space.
