From October 18 to 23 this year, in accordance with the 2026 Plan for the Joint Training of Command and Control Bodies and Formations of Forces and Assets of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the “Cobalt-2026” special exercise was held at the Magob training range of the Special Purpose Units Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The CSTO Deputy Secretary General Piotr Tsikhanouski met with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross
01.12.2018On November 30, 2018, the Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO Piotr Tsikhanouski took part in the International Conference on International Humanitarian Law: "The 150th anniversary of the St. Petersburg Declaration on the abolition of certain explosive shells during the war: new contexts, former significance" organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of States Parties to the Commonwealth of Independent States in St. Petersburg.
In his speech at the plenary meeting, Piotr Tsikhanouski stressed the importance and timeliness of the conference, described the level of interaction between the ICRC and the CSTO Secretariat, and also drew attention to the need to establish close cooperation between the ICRC and the CSTO itself in areas of mutual interest.
A working meeting between Piotr Tsikhanouski and ICRC President Peter Mauer took place on the “margins” of the conference, during which there was a substantive dialogue on humanitarian issues relevant to both organizations, based on which mutual interest was expressed in improving the mechanism of interaction between the CSTO and the ICRC on compliance with the provisions of international humanitarian law in armed conflicts and emergency situations.
