The 12th Southern Information Security Forum “Infoforum Sochi 2026” is taking place in Sochi, Russia, from June 30 to July 3. On July 1, the Forum's plenary session brought together representatives of federal and regional authorities, regulatory bodies, leading companies, and international organizations to discuss current challenges in the protection of critical infrastructure, the development of artificial intelligence, and international cooperation.
On June 30 – July 1, 2026, Saint Petersburg hosted a series of events chaired by Alexander Kurenkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, with the participation of heads of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states responsible for emergency prevention and response.

Acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General takes part in the conference “Central Asia – the Core of the SCO: A Space of Peace and Shared Development”

On June 12, 2026, a conference entitled “Central Asia – the Core of the SCO: A Space of Peace and Shared Development” was held in Dushanbe under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan. Acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabayev took part in the event.
The participants were unanimous in their view that Central Asia is currently becoming an example of good-neighborly and mutually beneficial relations among sovereign states, and that the key task is to preserve the region’s sustainable development.
In his remarks, Samat Ordabayev highlighted the growing role of regional organizations in maintaining international security and emphasized the positive contribution of the CSTO and the SCO to stability in Central Asia.
The Acting Deputy Secretary General also noted that a successful example of interaction among regional organizations is the consistent implementation of the Roadmap for Cooperation between the CSTO, the SCO, and the CIS for 2026–2028, signed by the Secretaries General of the three organizations in Beijing in September 2025.
