From June 1 to 3, Saratov (Russian Federation) is hosting a series of events involving the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization aimed at strengthening the collective response system to biological threats.
On June 1, 2026, consultations at the deputy foreign minister level of the CSTO member states were held in Moscow.
On May 28, 2026, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov took part in the International Security Forum held under the auspices of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. More than 150 delegations from 120 countries participated in the event.
On May 26 of this year, a round table entitled “35 Years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: Results, Tasks, and Prospects” was held at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The event was attended by heads of integration structures in the post-Soviet space, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of the embassies of CIS countries in Russia. Opening remarks were delivered by the moderator, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin.
On May 26, 2026, a regular meeting of the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils (CSSC) was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Russian side, with the participation of CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov. The participants conducted a substantive exchange of views on issues related to strengthening security in the CSTO area of responsibility.
VI High-Level Coordination Meeting between the CSTO and the International Committee of the Red Cross will be held in Geneva on November 26
24.11.2021The VI High-Level Coordination Meeting (Headquarters Conference) in the framework of cooperation between the Collective Security Treaty Organization Secretariat and the International Committee of the Red Cross will be held in Geneva on November 26, 2021.
The Coordination Meeting will be attended by the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Takhir Khayrulloyev and responsible officials from the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Joint Staff; Dominique Stilhart, the ICRC Director of Operations, and the heads of ICRC structural divisions in Geneva and of the ICRC Regional Delegation in the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, it is planned to analyze the activities carried out in the framework of cooperation between the ICRC and the CSTO, to exchange views on humanitarian challenges in regions of armed conflicts, and to discuss specific proposals for further development of cooperation between the ICRC and the CSTO and to identify key areas of cooperation for the coming year 2022.
At the end of the event, it is planned to sign a Resolution of the VI High-Level Coordination Meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
