On November 4, 2026, a working session entitled “The CSTO in Greater Eurasia: Current Status and Prospects” was held in Minsk as part of the 4th Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security.
On November 3, 2026, the 4th Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security was held in Minsk. The event was attended by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev, SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev, OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, representatives of the leadership of the foreign ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and a number of other states.
On October 30, 2026, the results of the “Channel-Caspian Lighthouse” subregional anti-drug operation were summed up as part of the implementation of the 2026 Plan of Key Activities of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Competent Drug Control Authorities of CSTO Member States (CCHCDCA).
From October 18 to 23 this year, in accordance with the 2026 Plan for the Joint Training of Command and Control Bodies and Formations of Forces and Assets of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the “Cobalt-2026” special exercise was held at the Magob training range of the Special Purpose Units Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia has completed training courses for defense departments, law enforcement agencies and special services of the CSTO member States

In the period from 1 to 14 April 2022, at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation regular VII training courses for executive staff and leading specialists of defense departments, law enforcement agencies, security councils, security agencies and special services, as well as bodies authorized in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the CSTO member States, were held.
The specialized training program for students included a course of lectures and practical trainings on politico-military issues, crisis response to contemporary challenges and threats, military cooperation in the CSTO format, as well as on military strategy, military governance and military economics. The training sessions were conducted by professors and instructors from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and the CSTO Secretariat members.
Representatives of CSTO member States were trained in accordance with the Agreement on training of military personnel for the CSTO member States.
At the completion of the course, Colonel General Vladimir Zarudnitsky, Head of the Military Academy of the General Staff, and Valery Semerikov, the CSTO Deputy Secretary General, presented the students with Certificates of Professional Development in the form prescribed by Russian law.
Courses held annually significantly improve the necessary level of knowledge of executive staff and leading specialists of state authorities of the CSTO member States responsible for the development and strengthening of the collective security system, as well as contribute to strengthening allied relations within the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
