From 25 to 27 July, the CSTO Joint Staff hosted a working meeting of the heads of defense communication management bodies of the CSTO member states.
On 13 July, Minsk hosted the 2nd meeting of the Coordination Council of authorized bodies of the CSTO member States on biological security issues. The Council meeting was attended by representatives of all CSTO member states.
The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov took part in the 23 Plenary Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which was chaired by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on July 4, 2023, via videoconferencing.
On the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization I. Tasmagambetov will participate in the 23rd plenary meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states Council on July 4, 2023, which will be held via videoconferencing.
The CSTO Courses started at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia

On April 3, 2023, at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the next VIII Training Courses started for senior personnel and leading specialists of defense agencies, law enforcement agencies, apparatuses of security councils, security agencies and special services, as well as bodies authorized in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations, the CSTO member states with the status of military personnel in accordance with the national legislation.
The CSTO Deputy Secretary General Takhir Khairulloyev attended the opening ceremony.
The specialized training program provides for a course of lectures and practical exercises on politico-military issues, crisis response to contemporary challenges and threats, military cooperation in the CSTO format, as well as on military strategy, military governance and military economics. Staff of the CSTO Secretariat and servicemen from the CSTO Joint Staff are involved in conducting the lessons, along with the teaching staff of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
This year's training program has been significantly expanded, as a result of which the Course instead of 14 days will last for 20 days.
Courses held annually improve the necessary level of knowledge of senior staff and leading specialists of state authorities of the CSTO member states responsible for the development and strengthening of the collective security system, and contribute to strengthening allied relations within the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
