On May 19, 2025 in Bishkek, under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side, a meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly was held, during which the Secretary General of the Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov made a report on the theme: “On the implementation of decisions (November 2024) session of the CSTO SCS and measures taken to counter challenges and threats to collective security”.
On May 12, 2025, in Moscow, in the Red Banner Hall of the Frunze Central House of the Russian Army, a solemn event dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the signing of the Collective Security Treaty (May 15, 1992) was held.
Delegation of the CSTO Secretariat headed by the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization will take part in the 13th international meeting of high representatives in charge of security issues.
On May 13, 2025, the 41st meeting of the Working Group on Afghanistan under the CSTO Ministerial Council was held with the participation of CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev. The event was also attended by delegations of the Organization's member states and representatives of the UNOCT, the UNRCCA, the CIS ATC, the CIS Coordination Service of the CIS Council of Commanders of Border Troops and the ICRC.
Courses were held at the Military Academy of the General Staff of Russia for the leadership of the state authorities of the CSTO member states

From April 1 to April 12, 2019, on the basis of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, regular specialized training courses were held for senior management and leading specialists of state authorities of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization responsible for various activities in the field of collective security .
A specialized training program for students was provided for a course of lectures and practical exercises on military-political issues, crisis response to contemporary challenges and threats, military cooperation in the CSTO format, military strategy, military management and the military economy.
Representatives of the CSTO member states were trained on favorable terms stipulated by the Agreement on the training of military personnel for the CSTO member states.
Upon completion of the course by the leadership of the Academy, students received certificates of advanced training.
Courses of leading specialists of the state authorities of the CSTO member states conducted on an annual basis greatly contribute to the further strengthening of allied relations within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty.
