28 April marks the Day of the CSTO Joint Staff. It should be recalled that on 28 April 2003, in Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for implementing the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted the Decision “On the Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.”
On 27 April 2026, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Contours of a New Architecture of Collective Security: Current Issues of Information and Analytical Partnership within the CSTO,” held at MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, a round table entitled “Eurasian Analytical Platform: New Approaches in a New Geopolitical Reality” took place. During the event, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat Yuriy Shuvalov delivered a presentation on “The Eurasian Analytical Network: A New Cognitive Architecture of Collective Security.”
The graduation ceremony for law enforcement officers of the CSTO member states took place at the AIPD of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, who completed an advanced training course on "Improving the Management of the CSTO Collective PF"

On November 25, 2022 at the All-Russian Institute of Professional Development of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs a graduation ceremony was held for law enforcement officers of the CSTO member states who have completed an advanced training course on "Improving the Management of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces ".
The event was attended by: the Head of the All-Russian Institute of Professional Development of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Police Major General A.A. Skivterist, the Deputy Head of Countering Challenges and Threats Department of the CSTO Secretariat S.A. Gonchar, representatives of the CSTO Secretariat and officials of the Institute.
Opening the graduation ceremony, Police Major General A.A. Skivterist, Head of the All-Russian Institute of Professional Development of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, greeted the students and expressed confidence that the knowledge and experience gained during the training will contribute to the effective performance of official tasks to ensure the safety of citizens and law and order.
The Deputy Head of the Department of counteraction to challenges and threats of the CSTO Secretariat S.A. Gonchar welcomed the graduating class and thanked the management of the Institute, the faculty for their work in preparing and conducting classes and congratulated the graduates with the end of training.
Representatives of the training group spoke on behalf of the graduates, who thanked the leadership of the All-Russian Institute of Professional Development of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the faculty and course officers for the high organization of the educational process and professional activities.
At the end of the graduation ceremony, the officers of the law enforcement agencies of the CSTO member states were presented with certificates of training.
After the graduation, a working meeting was held between the management of the Institute, representatives of the CSTO and graduates. In the framework of the meeting, the current issues and prospects for further cooperation between the Institute and the CSTO Secretariat were discussed in detail.
