On October 18, in the Republic of Tajikistan, at the “Fakhrabad” training ground, under the general supervision of Deputy Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Major General Ilkhomjon Hafizoda, instructor-methodological training sessions were held with the Joint Command of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces on issues of organization, management, formation, and coordination.
During the training sessions, which were prepared based on the experience of modern armed conflicts, officers of the CSTO Joint Staff provided information on the deployment and organization of work at the command post of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces, including the commanders of the branches of the armed forces, services, and other structural units.
Particular attention was paid to the procedure for organizing and conducting Joint Command coordination activities, organizing work in preparation for peacekeeping operations, the capabilities of tactical combat control systems used in modern conflicts and promising systems, as well as the specifics of creating a system to counter UAVs.
In addition, classes were held on the composition, purpose, main tasks, and organization of the joint NBC defense and medical support formation of the CSTO, which in these trainings is operationally subordinate to the Commander of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces. The main task of the joint formation during the training is to ensure the biological safety of the coalition group of troops.
Representatives of the defense ministries of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, and the Republic of Tajikistan were invited to participate in the trainings. According to the training scenario, they are officials of the training command headquarters and the Joint Command of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
These measures are aimed at achieving one of the most important goals of the upcoming training, “Indestructible Brotherhood-2025” and “Barrier-2025” – improving the management of the CSTO Collective Forces.
The instructor-methodological training sessions concluded with a practical demonstration of the actions of air defense forces and assets on duty in repelling strikes by a simulated enemy's UAVs on the command post of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
