On May 26 of this year, a round table entitled “35 Years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: Results, Tasks, and Prospects” was held at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. On July 25, 2025, a meeting of representatives of the customer-coordinator and national state customers of the Targeted Interstate Program of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border was held at the CSTO Secretariat. Acting CSTO Secretary General Valery Semerikov took part in the event.

The Tajik side, as the customer-coordinator of the Program, informed about the progress of the implementation of the first stage of the CSTO Targeted Interstate Program.

The participants of the meeting summarized and adjusted the list of weapons, military equipment and technical means of border protection intended for production and delivery to the Border Troops of Tajikistan, based on the capabilities of the member states of the Organization.
