On August 17–19, at the invitation of Colonel General Alexander Manilov, Chairman of the Coordination Service of the Council of Border Troops Commanders of the CIS, a delegation of the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov took part in international events held in the area of responsibility of the Border Directorate of the Russian Federal Security Service for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

On August 14, consultations were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on organizing joint training activities for command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2027.

The CSTO Secretariat held a meeting on strengthening the Tajik-Afghan border 25.07.2025

On July 25, 2025, a meeting of representatives of the customer-coordinator and national state customers of the Targeted Interstate Program of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border was held at the CSTO Secretariat. Acting CSTO Secretary General Valery Semerikov took part in the event.

The Tajik side, as the customer-coordinator of the Program, informed about the progress of the implementation of the first stage of the CSTO Targeted Interstate Program.

The participants of the meeting summarized and adjusted the list of weapons, military equipment and technical means of border protection intended for production and delivery to the Border Troops of Tajikistan, based on the capabilities of the member states of the Organization.
