On March 31, 2026, scheduled consultations on topical issues of arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation (CSTO) were held in Moscow at the CSTO Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Russian Federation. The event was attended by delegations of the CSTO member states, acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabayev and other representatives of the Organization's Secretariat.
A thorough exchange of views was held on the current state and prospects of the situation in the field of topical issues of arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation. The importance of joint efforts aimed at preserving and developing the relevant international legal framework was emphasized. Further steps were discussed in specific areas of the topical issues of arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation, designed to help strengthen international peace and security. The need for regular reconciliation of positions on this issue has been confirmed in order to strengthen coordination within the Organization.
