Today, the active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) “Frontier-2026” concluded on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the “Conduct of combat operations” stage, two main training objectives are being practiced: the occupation by the national contingents of the CRDF CAR of the area of responsibility and the destruction of illegal armed formations that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state.
The active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) “Frontier-2026” has begun at the Koktal training range in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the exercise, the participating forces are practicing the preparation and conduct of combat operations to destroy illegal armed formations that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state.
MGIMO hosted the CSTO Student Model dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Collective Security Treaty
On March 16, 2022, the CSTO Student Model, dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of the signing of the Collective Security Treaty, was held at MGIMO. Head of the Department of Political Cooperation of the CSTO Secretariat Piotr Koronevsky made a keynote speech at the event. He acquainted students and graduate students with the principles of the Organization, its objectives and prospects for development, as well as the main areas of activity within the CSTO format.
Igor Panarin, the Executive Director of the CSTO University League, also took part in the Model.
A panel discussion was held as part of the Model, during which presentations were made by students and graduate students of MGIMO and Moscow State University.
Reports were devoted to increasing the peacekeeping potential of the CSTO, improving the CSTO CRRF, Afghan issues, and a number of other areas of CSTO the activity.
The event was organized by the Russian Foreign Policy Club of the MGIMO Academic Student Society.
