CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov held a meeting at the Organization’s Secretariat with a delegation of the Monitoring Team of the UN Security Council Sanctions Committees 1267/1989/2253 concerning ISIL and Al-Qaeda and 1988 concerning the Taliban Movement United Nations Security Council.
A working meeting was held between the CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Head of the Center for Scientific and Analytical Information of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences Nikolay Plotnikov.

On June 19, 2025, a regular meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils (CSSC) was held in Cholpon-Ata (the Kyrgyz Republic) under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side, which was attended by the Secretary General of the Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov.
The parties have discussed in detail the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility in the context of countering challenges and threats to collective security. Special attention was paid to the implementation of the first stage of the CSTO Special Interstate Policy for strengthening sections of the Tajik-Afghan Border.
It was decided to establish a Working Group under the CSTO CSSC on Information Security issues.
The event participants also reviewed and approved a number of documents related to the planning of military cooperation between the CSTO member states for 2026-2030, the organization of joint training of management bodies and formations of forces and means of the CSTO collective security system, and improving the management of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces).
