On August 14, consultations were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on organizing joint training activities for command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2027.
On July 15, 2026, the High-Level Regional Meeting “Enhancing Capacities to Prevent the Supply of Weapons to Terrorists in Central Asia” was held in Moscow, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism with the participation of the Russian side.
On July 14, 2026, a working meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov and UN Assistant Secretary-General Alexander Zuev.
From July 7 to 9, second staff talks were held in the Russian Federation on the organization and conduct of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) command-and-staff exercise “Interaction-2026”, the special reconnaissance exercise “Poisk-2026”, and the logistics support exercise “Echelon-2026”.
A joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers, and the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils was held in Bishkek
On November 27, in Bishkek, a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), the Council of Defense Ministers (CDM), and the Committee of Security Council Secretaries (CSSC) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held, chaired by the Kyrgyz side. The event was attended by the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and the CSTO Joint Staff Chief Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov.
During the event, the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov briefed participants on the military-political situation in the Organization's area of responsibility and on the Secretariat's activities during the intersessional period.
The meeting participants have discussed topical issues of joint work, including the implementation of the Anti-Drug Strategy, strengthening cooperation in the field of military cooperation, and developing the analytical capacity of the Organization.
Following the meeting, an agenda was proposed for the upcoming session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
