The Republic of Belarus will host the “Combat Brotherhood-2023” trainings

From 1 to 6 September, in the Republic of Belarus, at the “Brestsky”, “Gozhsky”, “Domanovsky”, “Obuz-Lesnovsky”, “Chepelevo” and “Lesishche” training ranges as part of the “Combat Brotherhood-2023” joint operational-strategic training of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) the following trainings will be held:
- joint trainings with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces "Interaction-2023";
- special trainings with intelligence forces and means “Search-2023”;
- special trainings with the logistical support forces and means of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) “Echelon-2023”;
- special trainings with the joint CSTO NBC protection and medical support formation "Barrier-2023".
The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov will attend the opening of the trainings.
As agreed during the staff talks, national contingents from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan will participate in the trainings.
In total, more than 2,500 military personnel and more than 500 units of weapons, military and special equipment have been announced for participation in the trainings.
The main purpose of the trainings is to improve coordination and coherence in the work of command and control bodies during the preparation and conduct of a joint operation.
In addition, the trainings aim to improve the practical skills and abilities of commanders in leading military units and sub-units during combat and special operations. An important task of the trainings is to develop high moral and combat qualities, psychological toughness and physical endurance among military personnel.
In response to urgent security challenges, from 1 to 6 September, the “Ostrovets” district of the Republic of Belarus will host a nuclear and radiation safety trainings for the population as part of the special "Rock - 2023" trainings of the CSTO countries' rescue units.
