The 12th Southern Information Security Forum “Infoforum Sochi 2026” is taking place in Sochi, Russia, from June 30 to July 3. On July 1, the Forum's plenary session brought together representatives of federal and regional authorities, regulatory bodies, leading companies, and international organizations to discuss current challenges in the protection of critical infrastructure, the development of artificial intelligence, and international cooperation.
On June 30 – July 1, 2026, Saint Petersburg hosted a series of events chaired by Alexander Kurenkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, with the participation of heads of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states responsible for emergency prevention and response.

The Republic of Belarus has discussed details of joint CSTO trainings

On 3-5 June, the Republic of Belarus hosted the second staff talks on the organization and conduct of the joint trainings with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) “Interaction-2025”, special trainings with intelligence forces and means “Search-2025” and logistics “Echelon-2025” conducted as part of the joint operational-strategic training “Combat Brotherhood-2025”.
The staff talks were attended by representatives of the ministries and departments concerned from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Secretariat of the Organization and a group of officers led by Lieutenant General Khasan Kaloyev, First Deputy Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff.
In the course of the staff talks, the plans for the trainings, linked to the objectives of the joint strategic training of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation “West-2025”, the issues of the organization of leadership, the composition of the national contingents' command and control bodies and units to be trained, the order of practical operations, as well as the issues of the organization of comprehensive support, were clarified and agreed upon.
Reconnaissance of the areas for the trainings planned for September of this year at the “Losvido” and “Lepelsky” firing ranges was carried out.
The CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces are designed to respond promptly to challenges and threats to the security of CSTO member states. The CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces comprise mobile formations and military units of permanent readiness of the armed forces of the CSTO member states, staffed to full strength, equipped with modern and compatible weapons and military (special) equipment, as well as formations of special-purpose forces from among the special units of the internal affairs (police), security and special services bodies and the authorized bodies responsible for preventing and dealing with the consequences of emergency situations.
