The active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) “Frontier-2026” has begun at the Koktal training range in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the exercise, the participating forces are practicing the preparation and conduct of combat operations to destroy illegal armed formations that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state.

On September 11, 2026, a round table entitled “Kazakhstan–Central Asia–Greater Eurasia: resilience and security amid new challenges” was held at the Center for Social Conservative Policy. The event was organized by the CSTO Secretariat jointly with the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ICCA RAS) and the Center for Social Conservative Policy (CSCP).

The event was attended by CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov, Director of the ICCA RAS Kirill Babaev, members of the CSTO Permanent Council and representatives of the academic and expert communities of the member states. The discussion was moderated by Yuri Shuvalov, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat.

The Academy of Management of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs completed a training course for representatives of law enforcement agencies and special services of the CSTO member states 01.07.2024

From 17 to 28 June 2024, at the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for representatives of senior staff of foreign states, a special two-week training course on the organization of the activities of law enforcement agencies and special services of the CSTO member states to ensure collective security was held.

The program has been implemented by the Academy since 2023 with the participation of representatives of the CSTO Secretariat.

In the course of training, lectures, seminars and practical classes were held for foreign students, including a visit to the CSTO Crisis Response Centre. In addition to the educational program, there was a sightseeing tour of the Academy, and in their free time, a visit to the Russia International Exhibition and Forum at VDNKh and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 on Poklonnaya Hill was organized.

Lieutenant General of Police Sergei Sinenko, Head of the Management Academy of the Russian Interior Ministry, and Sergei Gonchar, Deputy Head of the CSTO Secretariat, congratulated the foreign specialists on the successful completion of the training, after which they were presented with certificates of completion.
