CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov held a meeting at the Organization’s Secretariat with a delegation of the Monitoring Team of the UN Security Council Sanctions Committees 1267/1989/2253 concerning ISIL and Al-Qaeda and 1988 concerning the Taliban Movement United Nations Security Council.
A working meeting was held between the CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Head of the Center for Scientific and Analytical Information of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences Nikolay Plotnikov.

From 4 to 8 October, the contingents participating in the joint training "Indestructible Brotherhood-2023" with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces will regroup in the Kyrgyz Republic.
National contingents of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) will be dispatched to the training area by air and road from the CSTO member states in accordance with the plan.
The active phase of the training will be held on the territory of the “Edelweiss” training range from 9 to 13 October at the final stage of the joint CSTO operational-strategic training “Combat Brotherhood-2023”.
The main objectives of the training are to improve the practical skills of officials of the management bodies and personnel of the CSTO Peacekeeping Units and to enhance the coherence of military units and subunits in the performance of tasks during a peacekeeping operation in the Central Asian region of collective security.
In the course of the training, the tasks of post-conflict settlement in the crisis zone will be practiced in high-altitude conditions – the conduct of a peacekeeping operation using the forces and means of the CSTO collective security system and the provision of humanitarian assistance.
In practical operations, the Collective Peacekeeping Forces, together with units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, carry out combat training tasks at checkpoints and casualty reception points, escort convoys and cargoes, liberate populated areas, rescue "hostages" and provide humanitarian assistance.
