On 23–24 April 2026, a meeting of the Working Group on Military-Economic Cooperation under the Chairman of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation was held
On 20 April 2026, a meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Russian side. During the meeting, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov delivered a report entitled “On the progress in implementing the decisions of the November (2025) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and measures taken to counter challenges and threats to collective security.”
On 17 April 2026, a working meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between Acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev and the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Central Asia, Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Kaha Imnadze.
On 17 April 2026, the 17th meeting of the Working Group under the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils on information security was held in Moscow, with the participation of delegations of representatives of national coordinating and competent authorities on information security, as well as experts and specialists from relevant national structures and agencies of the Organization’s member states.
On 16 April 2026, the 21st meeting of the Council of the CSTO Consultative Coordination Center for Computer Incident Response (CCC CSTO) was held in Moscow, with the participation of delegations of representatives of national competent authorities for computer incident response of the Organization’s member states, as well as a delegation of the CSTO Secretariat headed by Umarzoda Umar Safar, Head of the Countering Challenges and Threats Department of the CSTO Secretariat.
Joint training with the forces and means of intelligence of the CSTO member states "Search-2019" ("Poisk-2019") will be held on the territory of the Republic of Belarus from 14 to 18 October
In accordance with the Plan for joint training of control bodies command, and force and means generation of the CSTO collective security system for 2019, from 14 to 18 October, this year, a joint exercise is being conducted with the forces and means of intelligence of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states“Search-2019” ("Poisk-2019") on the theme: “Organization and conduct of intelligence in the interests of localizing the border armed conflict in the East European collective security region of the Collective Security Treaty Organization”.
A feature of the training is its close relationship with the ongoing trainings in the territories of the Organization member states under the unified conception of the operational-strategic training “Combat Brotherhood-2019”. Units and military bases of the intelligence forces of the CSTO member states, as well as army and assault aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus are involved in the trainings.
So, at the "Search-2019" training, it is planned to work out the issues of training and use of intelligence forces and means in the joint operation of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CSTO CRRF), practical actions of intelligence forces and means in the interests of localizing the border armed conflict in the East European CSTO collective security region.
Along with coordinating and increasing the level of field training, achieving interoperability of the command bodies, CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) intelligence units and subunits, it is planned to develop and master new forms and methods of performing intelligence tasks using modern intelligence tools.
The training is planned to be attended by the chief of staff of the Western Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the chiefs of the main intelligence departments of the general staffs of the armed forces of the CSTO member states, the commander of the internal forces – the deputy minister of internal affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Heads of the general staffs of the armed forces of the CSTO member states are also invited to the training
In addition, representatives of the local administration and veteran organizations, military attaches of the CSTO member states are invited to the final stage of the "Search-2019" joint training on October 18, 2019.
The training is planned to be held at several training grounds of the Republic of Belarus, which are located in three regions of the country: Brest, Grodno and Mogilev. This is the 230th "Obuz-Lesnovsky" combined-arms training ground, the 174th "Domanovsky" air force and air defense force training ground, the 51th "Osipovichsky" artillery brigade training ground and the 11th training ground of the separate mechanized brigade of the "Chepelevo" Western operational command.
The opening ceremony of the training will take place on October 14, this year. at the "Obuz-Lesnovsky" training ground.
