On November 12, 2020, the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas had a phone conversation with the Acting President, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
S. Zas congratulated S. Japarov on his appointment to the post of the Head of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, informed about the CSTO activities, including in terms of preparation for the upcoming meetings of the statutory bodies.
In turn, the Acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic spoke about the current situation in the country and touched upon issues related to the preparation for the presidential elections scheduled for January 10, 2021.
Sadyr Japarov noted the important role of the CSTO in ensuring peace and stability in its area of responsibility and declared the continuity of the state course towards strengthening cooperation in the format of the Organization, emphasizing the need for further coordinated and decisive actions aimed at countering terrorism.
In the course of the conversation, the Acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic also emphasized the importance of expanding the interaction of the CSTO member states in combating the coronavirus pandemic.
