On August 14, consultations were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on organizing joint training activities for command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2027.
On July 15, 2026, the High-Level Regional Meeting “Enhancing Capacities to Prevent the Supply of Weapons to Terrorists in Central Asia” was held in Moscow, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism with the participation of the Russian side.
On July 14, 2026, a working meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov and UN Assistant Secretary-General Alexander Zuev.
From July 7 to 9, second staff talks were held in the Russian Federation on the organization and conduct of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) command-and-staff exercise “Interaction-2026”, the special reconnaissance exercise “Poisk-2026”, and the logistics support exercise “Echelon-2026”.
A joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO was held
On 22 November 2023, in Minsk, a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO was held. Representatives of the Republic of Armenia did not take part in the meeting.
The Secretary General of the Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov briefed on the military and political situation in the CSTO's collective security regions and the Organization’s activities in the intersessional period.
The draft Agenda for the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council scheduled for 23 November this year has been approved, the draft documents to be submitted for consideration by the Heads of State and also documents on topical areas of the Organization's activities that fall within the competence of the CSTO CFM, the CSTO CMD and the CSTO CSSC have been adopted. These included the draft Decision of the CSTO CFM and the CSTO CSSC “On the list of additional measures by the CSTO member states aimed at ensuring the information security of the Collective Security Treaty Organization”.
