On August 17–19, at the invitation of Colonel General Alexander Manilov, Chairman of the Coordination Service of the Council of Border Troops Commanders of the CIS, a delegation of the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov took part in international events held in the area of responsibility of the Border Directorate of the Russian Federal Security Service for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

On August 14, consultations were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on organizing joint training activities for command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2027.

A delegation from the CSTO Secretariat, led by the Deputy Secretary General Taalatbek Masadikov, took part from 1 to 5 December in the VIII Coordination Meeting of High-Level Representatives of the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross (hereinafter referred to as the Coordination Meeting) at the ICRC headquarters in Geneva.

During the Coordination Meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place with ICRC Vice-President Gilles Carbonnier, ICRC Director-General Pierre Krenbühl, and ICRC Director of Operational Management Yasmine Pra-Desimo. During these meetings, both sides noted that we had chosen the right format for planning our joint work.

Particular attention was paid to the experience of the Central Tracing Agency and the activities of key departments and divisions at the ICRC headquarters.

The parties outlined the main areas of cooperation between the CSTO Secretariat and the ICRC for the period up to 2027.

Following the meeting, Resolution VIII of the Coordination Meeting of High-Level Representatives of the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross was signed.

The next Coordination Meeting is scheduled for 2027 in Moscow, as agreed by the parties.
