On August 17–19, at the invitation of Colonel General Alexander Manilov, Chairman of the Coordination Service of the Council of Border Troops Commanders of the CIS, a delegation of the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov took part in international events held in the area of responsibility of the Border Directorate of the Russian Federal Security Service for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
On August 14, consultations were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on organizing joint training activities for command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2027.
On July 15, 2026, the High-Level Regional Meeting “Enhancing Capacities to Prevent the Supply of Weapons to Terrorists in Central Asia” was held in Moscow, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism with the participation of the Russian side.

On 6 April 2026, a meeting was held in Minsk between CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov.
A wide range of international issues was discussed in the context of tasks related to strengthening security in the CSTO area of responsibility.
Talatbek Masadykov informed about the progress in implementing the Action Plan for the execution of decisions adopted at the November (2025) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, as well as about the Organization’s priority areas of activity during Russia’s chairmanship.
Among the key areas of joint work, the Secretary General highlighted preparations for upcoming meetings of the CSTO statutory bodies and the International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Contours of a New Architecture of Collective Security: Current Issues of Information and Analytical Partnership within the CSTO”, organized by the CSTO Secretariat, which will be held on 27 April at MGIMO University.
Special attention was paid to the task of establishing the Eurasian Analytical Platform within the CSTO framework as a format for regular interaction between the expert and academic communities of the Organization’s member states.
