The 12th Southern Information Security Forum “Infoforum Sochi 2026” is taking place in Sochi, Russia, from June 30 to July 3. On July 1, the Forum's plenary session brought together representatives of federal and regional authorities, regulatory bodies, leading companies, and international organizations to discuss current challenges in the protection of critical infrastructure, the development of artificial intelligence, and international cooperation.

During his visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov was received by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

At the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the further development of multilateral cooperation within the Organization.

The situation in the CSTO area of responsibility and adjacent regions was reviewed in detail. In this regard, the parties stressed the importance of coordinating efforts for an adequate and timely response to existing challenges and threats.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of the CSTO Special Interstate Policy for strengthening sections of the Tajik-Afghan Border, which was adopted at the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council on November 28, 2024 in Astana.

The CSTO Secretary General has also informed the President of the republic of Tajikistan about the preparations for the next session of the Organization's Collective Security Council, scheduled for November 27 this year in Bishkek.
