From October 13 to 16, 2025, the 23rd International Combat Sambo Tournament for the Cup of the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, featuring law enforcement personnel from CSTO member states, was held at the Ognikovo Park Hotel (19 Ognikovo, Istra District, Moscow Region).
Today, the final stages of the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” and the special exercise with the CSTO joint NBC protection and medical support formation “Barrier-2026” took place at the Losvido and Starodorozhsky training ranges in the Republic of Belarus.
On October 15–16, a CSTO, CIS and SCO conference on security issues in Central Asia and Afghanistan was held in Moscow as part of Russia’s CSTO chairmanship programme.
At the Losvido training range in the Republic of Belarus, peacekeeping units repelled a simulated enemy attack on a humanitarian convoy during the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026”.

Working group under the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers has discussed electronic warfare in the Republic of Kazakhstan
On June 19, in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a regular meeting of the Working Group under the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers on electronic warfare was held.
The event, chaired by Lieutenant General Yuri Lastochkin, Chief of the Electronic Warfare Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, was attended by representatives of the defense agencies of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation and a group of officers from the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Lieutenant General Anatoly Yakovlev, Head of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) Application Planning Department.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the experience of using electronic warfare forces and means in modern armed conflicts, the results of research into the organization of joint use of electronic warfare units within the framework of the joint training with the CSTO CRRF "Interaction-2023", as well as the prospects for the development of military-technical cooperation in the field of equipping with compatible samples of electronic warfare equipment.
Based on the results of the discussion, it was deemed advisable to further improve the Organization's regulatory legal framework in the area of electronic warfare.
