The 12th Southern Information Security Forum “Infoforum Sochi 2026” is taking place in Sochi, Russia, from June 30 to July 3. On July 1, the Forum's plenary session brought together representatives of federal and regional authorities, regulatory bodies, leading companies, and international organizations to discuss current challenges in the protection of critical infrastructure, the development of artificial intelligence, and international cooperation.

An operational meeting was held with the Command of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region
On 14 September, in the Kyrgyz Republic, at the “Edelweiss” training center, an operational meeting was held with the Command of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CAR CRDF) on the topic “Fundamentals of training and conducting combat operations by the CAR CRDF to destroy illegal armed groups that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state”.
Representatives of the Central Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the CSTO Joint Staff briefed participants on the analysis of challenges and threats in the Central Asian region, the state and prospects of development of the military component of the CSTO, practical recommendations on the organization and conduct of combat operations, and current trends in the use of air defense, electronic warfare and UAV forces and means in armed conflicts. Command officers were also briefed on the development of command and control systems, the specifics of the use of engineering forces and means, NBC units, and the organization of technical and logistical support for the CAR CRDF.
The objectives of the meeting were to develop unified approaches to organizing the work of the operational staff of the CAR CRDF Command during the preparation and conduct of combat operations, as well as to coordinate the command and staff of the CAR CRDF ahead of the active phase of the “Rubezh-2025” command and staff training, which will be held on 17-20 September.
