From July 7 to 9, second staff talks were held in the Russian Federation on the organization and conduct of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) command-and-staff exercise “Interaction-2026”, the special reconnaissance exercise “Poisk-2026”, and the logistics support exercise “Echelon-2026”.

In accordance with the 2026 Action Plan of the Coordinating Council of Heads of the Competent Authorities for Countering Illicit Drug Trafficking of the CSTO Member States, and as part of the Russian Federation's priorities during its 2026 CSTO Chairmanship, the sub-regional counter-narcotics operation “Kanal – Amber Coast” was conducted from June 29 to July 3, 2026. The operation was aimed at disrupting trafficking routes for narcotic drugs, their precursors and analogues, new psychoactive substances, and potent substances into the CSTO area of responsibility, neutralizing international transnational drug trafficking groups, dismantling clandestine drug production facilities, undermining the economic foundations of the drug trade, including the laundering of drug proceeds.

On August 15, 2019, under the chairmanship of the Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aman Mambetseitov, a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organizationthe was held, in which the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Piotr Tsikhanouski took part.

During the meeting, the draft Decision of the Council of Ministers of Defense and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO "On the Regulations on the Interstate Working Group on the Implementation of the Single Technical Protection System for the Railways of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states" was reviewed and agreed upon. It was decided to submit the draft document for consideration of the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO.

The draft Decisions of the Collective Security Council of the CSTO “On Amendments to the Regulation on the operation of permanent operation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states to combat crimes in the field of information technologies (PROXY operation)” and the List of Topics of Joint Statement in 2020 were discussed and modified. The draft List is supposed to be considered at the joint meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers of Defense and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO in November this year.
