On June 23, 2026, a ceremonial event was held at the Advanced Training Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to mark the 20th anniversary of the CSTO Collective Security Council's decision granting the Institute the status of the Basic Educational Institution for Continuing Professional Education of law enforcement and special service personnel of the CSTO member states in the fields of counterterrorism, combating extremism, illicit drug trafficking, illegal migration, and other forms of transnational organized crime, as well as for the training of specialists for peacekeeping missions and teaching staff of educational institutions.

The first International Military-Economic Conference of the CSTO will be held in Moscow at "VDNH" on October 23 16.10.2019

On October 23, 2019, Moscow will host the first International Military-Economic Conference of the Collective Security Treaty Organization: "Military-economic cooperation of the CSTO member states: development trends, problems and prospects."

The conference will be chaired by Yuri Borisov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Chairman of the CSTO Interstate Commission for Military-Economic Cooperation (hereinafter - ICMEC).

It is planned to participate in the Acting Secretary General of the CSTO Valery Semerikov, deputy heads of government of the CSTO member states, which are responsible for military-economic cooperation, plenipotentiaries of the member states of the Organization under the CSTO, representatives of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, leaders and members of national units ICMEC, the Business Council under ICMEC, representatives of the management of interested ministries and departments, heads and specialists of leading scientific institutions All-industrial associations, enterprises and organizations of the Defense Industrial Complex of the member states of the Organization.

Conference participants will consider the most pressing issues of developing military-economic cooperation in the CSTO format, exchange experience in the formation of mutually beneficial cooperative ties between defense industry enterprises and organizations (Defense Industrial Complex), and also discuss the main directions for further improving the scientific, technical and industrial cooperation of defense enterprises of the Organization's member states.

The program of the Conference provides for speeches by the leaders of the national parts of the ICMEC, representatives of corporations, industrial enterprises and defense industry complex.

The conference will be held as part of the business program of the XXIII International Exhibition of State Security Means “Interpolitech - 2019” (VDNH, Pavilion No. 75, Hall C).
