From 21 to 25 April this year, the CSTO Secretariat is holding an annual training course for representatives of the CSTO member states without military status.
The meeting was held in the city of Moscow at the CSTO Joint Staff under the chairmanship of Viktor Zinoviev, Secretary of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation (ICMEC, Commission).
From April 7 to 10, 2025 on the basis of the Park-Hotel “Ognikovo” of Istrinsky district of Moscow region, the XXII International seminar-meeting on complex martial arts with the heads of combat and physical training of power ministries and departments of the CSTO member states took place.
On April 11, 2025, in Dushanbe, the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov met with the Tajik Defense Minister Emomali Sobirzoda, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmon Yusuf Ahmadzoda and the First Deputy Chairman - Commander of Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan Murodali Rajab Rajabzoda.
On the participation of the CSTO Secretariat delegation in international scientific and practical events at the Siberian Law Institute of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs

On 3-4 April 2025, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, a delegation of the CSTO Secretariat headed by Valery Semerikov, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization, took part in the XXVIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Problems in Combating Crime: Issues of Theory and Practice” and the International Scientific and Practical Seminar “Countering the Drug Threat at the Present Stage: Legal and Socio-Humanitarian Aspects” organized on the basis of the Siberian Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
In his address to the participants, Valery Semerikov delivered a welcoming speech by the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, gave an overview of the CSTO's activities in countering security challenges and threats, emphasizing the importance of such events for the introduction of innovative approaches in the implementation of the CSTO tasks to combat the drug threat in its area of responsibility.
The high level of organization and effectiveness of the Siberian Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia as a basic educational institution for training specialists in drug trafficking control for the CSTO member states were noted.
During one of the sections of the conference, Vladimir Petrishchev, Consultant of the Legal Department of the CSTO Secretariat, made a report on “The CSTO and the Fight against Illicit Drug Trafficking: International Legal Aspect”.
