From October 18 to 23 this year, in accordance with the 2026 Plan for the Joint Training of Command and Control Bodies and Formations of Forces and Assets of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the “Cobalt-2026” special exercise was held at the Magob training range of the Special Purpose Units Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

On 27 September, Imangali Tasmagambetov, the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Zhang Ming, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and Ilkhom Nematov, the Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held a working meeting in Beijing.
During the meeting, senior administrative officials from the three leading Eurasian regional organizations shared their assessments of the security and stability situation in their respective areas of responsibility. Particular attention was paid to practical cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking and transnational crime, as well as to the development of more active cooperation between the information and intelligence structures of the three organizations.
