On August 17–19, at the invitation of Colonel General Alexander Manilov, Chairman of the Coordination Service of the Council of Border Troops Commanders of the CIS, a delegation of the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Colonel General Andrey Serdyukov took part in international events held in the area of responsibility of the Border Directorate of the Russian Federal Security Service for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

On August 14, consultations were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on organizing joint training activities for command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2027.

On July 15, 2026, the High-Level Regional Meeting “Enhancing Capacities to Prevent the Supply of Weapons to Terrorists in Central Asia” was held in Moscow, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism with the participation of the Russian side.

The Chiefs of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the CSTO member states will discuss development of military cooperation

IMG_4890.JPG On November 10 this year, a meeting of the CSTO Military Committee will be held via videoconferencing to discuss the development of military cooperation among the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states. The event will be chaired by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation – the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov.      
The meeting will be attended by the Chiefs of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, as well as the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Takhir Khairulloyev.
 In the course of the meeting It is planned to discuss challenges and threats to military security in the regions of the CSTO collective security and measures to counter them, development of the CSTO peacekeeping potential, including inclusion in the UN peacekeeping activities, improvement of the organization and provision of international flights of state (military) aviation of the CSTO member states, and a number of other topical issues.
