CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov held a meeting at the Organization’s Secretariat with a delegation of the Monitoring Team of the UN Security Council Sanctions Committees 1267/1989/2253 concerning ISIL and Al-Qaeda and 1988 concerning the Taliban Movement United Nations Security Council.
A working meeting was held between the CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Head of the Center for Scientific and Analytical Information of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences Nikolay Plotnikov.
On May 7, the CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov held a working meeting in Moscow at the CSTO Joint Staff aimed at improving issues related to crisis response and expert cooperation.
On May 6, 2026, a meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between the CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykovand newly appointed Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the CSTO Vladimir Bespaly.
The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff participated in the events of the VIII International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2022”
16.08.2022On August 15, the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, took part in the events of the scientific-business program of the VIII International Military-Technical Forum "ARMY-2022" held at the leading exhibition platform of the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense – Congress and Exhibition Center "Patriot".
In the course of the visit to the large-scale exposition of the International Military-Technical Forum, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, noted: "In the framework of military and technical cooperation, the heads of the CSTO member States have approved a program for equipping the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces with modern and compatible weapons and military equipment. There is an agreement on cooperation of states in the field of transportation of military and other formations, their movable property as well as military products. Mechanisms are currently being improved to provide emergency military and technical assistance to the member States of the Organization.
The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff participated in working meetings with representatives of defense agencies of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Tajikistan. An exchange of views took place on the advanced military and technical developments and new samples of military and special equipment presented at the exhibition. They discussed issues of interaction connected with military and technical cooperation and the improvement of the CSTO collective security system.
On August 16, representatives of the CSTO Joint Staff participated in a roundtable discussion on "Trends in the Development of the System of International Relations and Their Impact on National Defense Management of the Russian Federation," organized by the Military Institute (National Defense Management) of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. The round table has discussed modern trends in international relations and their impact on international and national security of the Russian Federation in the XXI century.
A group of officers from the CSTO Joint Staff also visited the exposition of the International Military-Technical Forum and familiarized themselves with new models of weapons and military equipment.
The “ARMY-2022" Forum is the largest exhibition of weapons, military and special equipment and is recognized as a significant event in the field of international military and technical cooperation and a unique dialogue platform for the exchange of views on global and regional security issues.
