28 April marks the Day of the CSTO Joint Staff. It should be recalled that on 28 April 2003, in Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for implementing the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted the Decision “On the Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.”

On 27 April 2026, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Contours of a New Architecture of Collective Security: Current Issues of Information and Analytical Partnership within the CSTO,” held at MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, a round table entitled “Eurasian Analytical Platform: New Approaches in a New Geopolitical Reality” took place. During the event, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat Yuriy Shuvalov delivered a presentation on “The Eurasian Analytical Network: A New Cognitive Architecture of Collective Security.”

The XIV meeting of the Coordinating Council of the authorized bodies of the CSTO member States on the issues of advertising and exhibition activities was held on August 17, 2022 in the Congress and Exhibition Center "Patriot" on the site of the International military-technical forum "Army-2022".

The XIV meeting of the Coordinating Council of the authorized bodies of the CSTO member States on the issues of advertising and exhibition activities was held on August 17, 2022 in the Congress and Exhibition Center "Patriot" on the site of the International military-technical forum "Army-2022".

The meeting was attended by members of the national parts of the Coordination Council and invited guests. The meeting was chaired by Valeriy Faletorov, Head of the Coordination Council and Adviser to the CSTO Secretariat's Office of Military Security Problems.

In the course of the joint meeting the following issues were discussed: the draft decision of the ICMEC "On the list of international exhibitions to be held in 2023 - 2024, which may host expositions of military, dual and special-purpose products and technologies of the CSTO member States"; on preparation of the international salons of arms held in the territory of the CSTO member States in 2022 - 2023 and the possibilities to organize a joint CSTO exposition and provide preferential conditions for the organizers of national expositions of the CSTO member States, as well as a draft list of international exhibitions to be held in 2023 - 2024, which may be the exposition of products of military, dual and special purposes and technologies of the CSTO member States, was finalized and agreed upon.

As a result of the meeting it was jointly decided to recommend the CSTO Secretariat to include the finalized draft Decision of the CSTO ICMEC "On the list of international exhibitions held in 2023 - 2024, which may host expositions of military, dual, special purpose and technology of the CSTO member States" into the draft agenda of the XX meeting of the Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation, and recommend to the authorized bodies of the CSTO member States on issues of advertising and exhibition activities organize the participation of interested national enterprises in international arms shows, focus the efforts of organizers of national expositions of the CSTO member States on the formation of united national pavilions of arms shows held on the territory of the CSTO member States.

Kanapyanov (the Republic of Kazakhstan), Director of BiEXPO LLC V.A. Linovitsky (the Kyrgyz Republic), Director of the Republican Unitary Enterprise National Exhibition Center “BelExpo” Baran S.A (the Republic of Belarus), Deputy General Director of JSC "Aviasalon" V.V. Stupitsky (the Russian Federation), Head of Advertising and Exhibition Activities Department of JSC "Rosoboronexport" I.A. Pashukov (the Russian Federation), Secretary of the Coordinating Council K.A. Nikulshin, representatives of the CSTO member States.

The event participants have confirmed their common interest in further development of advertising and exhibition activities in the sphere of military and economic cooperation of the CSTO, increasing the level of interaction between the national parts of the Coordinating Council as well as the organizers of national expositions of the CSTO member States.

For reference: The Coordinating Council of the authorized bodies of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member States on the issues of advertising and exhibition activities was created by the Decision of the Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on October 6, 2011 in order to implement cooperation in the field of advertising and exhibition activities in the sphere of military-economic cooperation between the member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
