Today, the active phase of the command-and-staff exercise with the Collective Operational Reaction Forces (CORF) of the CSTO “Interaction-2026” and the special exercises “Search-2026” and “Echelon-2026” concluded in the Russian Federation.
In the Russian Federation, at the Chebarkulsky training range, particular attention is being paid to organizing the evacuation and repair of damaged equipment under the threat of enemy UAV attacks during the special exercise with the logistics forces and assets of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) “Echelon-2026”.
Today, at the Chebarkulsky training range in the Russian Federation, as part of the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Collective Operational Reaction Forces (CORF) “Interaction-2026”, joint actions to liberate a populated area captured by a simulated adversary were practiced.
On September 29–30, 2026, the 6th International Conference of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on the spread of extremist ideology was held in Moscow. The CSTO delegation, comprising Umar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats, and Igor Demchenko, Adviser to the Department, took part in the conference.

On August 24, this year, within the framework of the International Military-Technical Forum "ARMY-2020", which takes place in the “Patriot” Park in the Moscow Region, for the first time, a “round table” "State, approaches and mechanisms for equipping the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) with modern weapons and military equipment" was held.
The event was held under the charge of the Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff. The “round table” was attended by the representatives of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, defense departments, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other security agencies of the CSTO member states involved in military-technical cooperation, as well as a delegation of the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Joint Staff.
The CSTO Deputy Secretary General Piotr Tsikhanouski said that work was currently underway to update the draft Plan for equipping the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) with modern weapons and military equipment. "The document makes provisions for the consistent equipping of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces, using the potential of the military-industrial complex of the CSTO member states, as well as the mechanism of military-technical assistance on a bilateral basis," Piotr Tsikhanouski said.
The CSTO Deputy Secretary General stated that an important factor in this work was to ensure the technical compatibility of weapons, military and special equipment and communication tools.
The participants of the “round table” also discussed issues of maintaining weapons, military and special equipment in a state that ensured high combat readiness of the CSTO CRRF, the creation of appropriate service centers for the maintenance of weapons and military equipment in the territories of the CSTO member states, and the purchase of the same type of weapons and equipment.
Summing up the results of the “round table”, the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Anatoly Sidorov noted that the coordinated proposals for solving existing problems and determining the main directions for improving the work on equipping the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces with modern weapons, military and special equipment had to become the results of this work.
The number of the CSTO CRRF is about 20,000 people.
