CSTO Secretariat’s commentary in connection with the airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran

CSTO Secretariat’s commentary in connection with the airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran 02.03.2026

The CSTO Secretariat has received with deep concern reports of the launch of massive strikes by the United States and Israel against the territory of Iran, accompanied, inter alia, by civilian casualties.

We see significant risks associated with the escalation of the conflict. We share the assessment of the situation expressed by the United Nations Secretary-General.

We are convinced of the need for the parties to return to political dialogue as soon as possible and to resolve the conflict in full compliance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
