On 20 April 2026, a meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Russian side. During the meeting, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov delivered a report entitled “On the progress in implementing the decisions of the November (2025) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and measures taken to counter challenges and threats to collective security.”
On 17 April 2026, a working meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between Acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev and the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Central Asia, Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Kaha Imnadze.
On 17 April 2026, the 17th meeting of the Working Group under the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils on information security was held in Moscow, with the participation of delegations of representatives of national coordinating and competent authorities on information security, as well as experts and specialists from relevant national structures and agencies of the Organization’s member states.
On 16 April 2026, the 21st meeting of the Council of the CSTO Consultative Coordination Center for Computer Incident Response (CCC CSTO) was held in Moscow, with the participation of delegations of representatives of national competent authorities for computer incident response of the Organization’s member states, as well as a delegation of the CSTO Secretariat headed by Umarzoda Umar Safar, Head of the Countering Challenges and Threats Department of the CSTO Secretariat.
On 17 April, the annual training courses for representatives of the CSTO member states who do not have the status of military personnel were completed at the CSTO Secretariat.

The CSTO Collective Forces continue to work on the next stage of CSTO trainings in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The command and staff training with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces "Interaction-2022" is aimed at practicing the tasks of using forces and means of the CSTO collective security system in the Central Asian region of the CSTO collective security.
In the course of practical actions, the following training issues and joint tactical tasks are practiced:
defeating the enemy with the use of reconnaissance and reconnaissance-fire contour;
conducting special activities to eliminate an illegal armed formation in a populated area;
actions of anti-drug units of the internal affairs bodies of the formations of special forces to suppress the channel for the supply of narcotic drugs;
implementation of measures to eliminate the consequences of chemical and biological contamination and search and rescue operations.
During a Special training with reconnaissance forces "Search-2022" the issues of planning reconnaissance in conditions of aggravation of military and political situation in the Central Asian region of CSTO collective security, as well as the organization and conduct of various types of reconnaissance in the interests of application of the CSTO CRRF during localization of cross-border armed conflict are practiced.
The special training "Echelon-2022" with the forces and means of Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics support of the CSTO forces (Collective Forces) is aimed at comprehensive training on the organization of Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics support, management of logistics units of the CSTO CRRF, replenishment of inventories and restoration of military and technical equipment of the CSTO CRRF group during the conduct of a joint operation.
The CSTO training is examining the use of the Coalition air grouping and air defense, as well as the use of the joint CSTO NBC defense formation and medical support.
