From October 18 to 23 this year, in accordance with the 2026 Plan for the Joint Training of Command and Control Bodies and Formations of Forces and Assets of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the “Cobalt-2026” special exercise was held at the Magob training range of the Special Purpose Units Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
An international scientific and practical conference entitled “Greater Eurasia: Institutions, Development, Cooperation” was held at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, jointly organized with the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ICCA RAS). The results of operations on combating crime in the field of information technology "PROXY"
25.02.2019The meeting was opened by the Acting Secretary General of the CSTO Valery Semerikov, who in his speech highlighted the results of interaction of experts and representatives of the national headquarters of the operation "PROXI" in two directions. “The first direction is to promote the initiatives of the Russian side as co-authors of the Russian draft resolution“ Achievements in the field of informatization, telecommunications in the context of international security ”at the 71st session of the UN General Assembly and the draft UN Convention on cooperation in the field of countering information crime at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The second direction is the successful interaction of all CSTO members in solving the tasks of countering security threats in the information sphere, both at the national level and throughout the Organization, ”said Valery Semerikov.
During the meeting, the results of coordinated preventive measures to combat crime in the field of information technologies, conducted in the format of the Organization under the code name Operation PROXI-2018, were summarized and the priorities for cooperation in 2019 were determined.
The meeting participants exchanged views on improving cooperation in countering information crime in the information space of the CSTO member states and exchanging information on measures to counter the use of information technologies in the interests of international terrorist organizations.
