Today, the active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) “Frontier-2026” concluded on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the “Conduct of combat operations” stage, two main training objectives are being practiced: the occupation by the national contingents of the CRDF CAR of the area of responsibility and the destruction of illegal armed formations that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state.
The active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) “Frontier-2026” has begun at the Koktal training range in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the exercise, the participating forces are practicing the preparation and conduct of combat operations to destroy illegal armed formations that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state.

The theme of the annual event being the current Slovak OSCE Chairmanship made the “Review of efforts to prevent and counter terrorism, as well as violent extremism and radicalization, leading to terrorism in the OSCE region”. The meeting will be attended by representatives of diplomatic and security agencies of the OSCE member states and specialized structures of a number of international organizations.
This direction is one of the priorities in the CSTO activities. Its representatives are actively participating in international conferences on counter-terrorism. In 2018, the heads of the CSTO Secretariat delegations made statements at UN conferences (in New York), SCO (in Tashkent), as well as those that took place in the Organization's member states - in Russia, Belarus and Tajikistan.
